For Immediate Release
1225 West 6th St #B25
On the morning of September 19, 2025, the All Crimes Enforcement Team (ACET), with assistance from the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office, Craig Police Department and the Special Response Team, executed a search warrant at 1225 West 6th St, Apartment B25, in Craig, Colorado. The warrant stemmed from an ACET investigation indicating that illegal drug distribution was taking place at the residence.
As a result of the operation, 48-year-old Dustin Hyatt and 46-year-old Tanya Vallejos were arrested on charges related to the Illegal Distribution of Controlled Substances (Methamphetamine). Due to the significant quantity of methamphetamine seized, both individuals face Class 1 Drug Felonies—the most severe drug felony under Colorado law. Hyatt, a previously convicted felon, also faces additional charges of Possession of Weapons by a Previous Offender after officers recovered a rifle, three handguns, and other weapons inside the apartment. During a hearing on September 24, 2025, Hyatt’s bond was set at $100,000.00.
Hyatt has a prior criminal history in the region. On March 20, 2025, he was arrested following an ACET investigation that revealed he possessed multiple voyeuristic photographs taken in a public restroom. Investigators later determined that Hyatt had placed his phone in the women’s restroom of the Jimmy John’s restaurant in Steamboat Springs on at least ten occasions in 2024, capturing 51 images of approximately 33 victims.
The Moffat County Sheriff's Office, ACET, and its partner agencies remain committed to enforcing Colorado’s drug laws and encourage residents to report suspected drug activity to their local law-enforcement authorities. The Moffat County Sheriff's Office continues relentless pursuit of criminal activity in our community.
At this stage of the case, the charges listed are merely allegations. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
