GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. - On March 31, 2026, at 3:30 p.m., deputies searching the 21 Road desert area north of Grand Junction, Colorado, located the vehicle of the missing at-risk senior male Rodger Degenhart, 68, of Grand Junction, Colorado. Deputies ultimately located a deceased male near the truck who has been positively identified as Rodger. The incident is not considered suspicious.
The Mesa County Coroner’s Office is responsible for determining the cause and manner of death. We extend our deepest condolences to Rodger’s family. No further information is available at this time.

Public Assistance Requested in Locating Missing Senior Male
MESA COUNTY, COLO. - On March 27, 2026, investigators with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing at-risk senior male Rodger Degenhart, 68, of Grand Junction, Colorado. Family last heard from Rodger Degenhart, 68, on March 25, 2026. He left his home located near 22 and K Roads in an unknown direction, driving a green color Chevrolet Silverado truck. Deputies and investigators are now requesting the public’s assistance in locating Rodger.

Rodger may be driving a 1997 green Chevrolet Silverado with a color matched camping shell on the bed of the truck. Anyone with information regarding Rodger’s location or whereabouts is encouraged to call 911 immediately.
