GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. - On March 3, 2026, at approximately 8:15 p.m., Deputies with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an altercation resulting in a stabbing at a home on the 2900 block of Mesa Avenue in Grand Junction, Colorado.

At the scene, Deputies located one male with non-life threatening stab wounds. The male was transported to an area hospital for care. The suspect, identified as Kevin Blakey, 57, of Grand Junction Colorado, was arrested and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:

• Assault in the First Degree/With Injury, Felony 3

• False Imprisonment, Misdemeanor 2
