MESA COUNTY, CO - The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to protecting children in our community and beyond through investigating and arresting those found in possession of Child Sex Assault Materials (CSAM). These investigations are conducted continuously, often in partnership with Homeland Security Investigations and other local and state law enforcement agencies.
In the spring of 2024, the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force conducted an operation targeting suspects who possessed CSAM material. Through this operation, several search warrants were served at residences within Mesa County which led to the recovery of sexually explicit materials involving minors. This resulted in the arrest of five suspects in the summer of 2024.
A second ongoing investigation by the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force resulted in the arrest of a male suspect in December 2024.
The detailed work of the Task Force resulted in all cases ending in convictions in the summer and fall of 2025, including:

We hope these convictions serve as a message that Child Sex Assault Materials (CSAM) and child sexual exploitation will not be tolerated in Mesa County.
