GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. - On May 24, 2026, deputies with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a threat in progress at a home on the 2900 block of D ½ Road in Grand Junction, Colorado. A male living at the home was threatening others in the home with firearms. He also damaged areas inside the house with an axe.
The victims were able to exit the home safely. The suspect also left the property prior to law enforcement’s arrival.
While deputies were on scene, a homeowner on the 500 block of Eastbrook Drive in Grand Junction, reported his home had been broken into and firearms stolen. Through investigation, deputies determined Jensen was the suspect of this incident, as well. The burglary had occurred while the resident was not home and prior to the threat at the home on D ½ Road.
With this information, a warrant was issued for Brandon Jensen’s arrest.
Working with the Real Time Crime Center, deputies found Jensen had driven to Utah. The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office Major Offender Task Force continued the investigation and worked with local Utah authorities and the United States Marshal’s Service to apprehend Jensen in Provo, Utah, on June 1, 2026.
Jensen is currently awaiting extradition to the Mesa County Detention Facility, where he will be booked in on the following charges:
