GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. - On June 25, 2026, at approximately 6:45 p.m., patrol deputies responded to a residence in the area of Highway 340 and Panorama Drive on a report of an adult male exposing his genitalia in front of multiple children inside the home.

During the investigation, deputies learned the suspect was a door-to-door salesman​. The suspect’s first contact with the homeowner was about the product he was selling, he left and then returned to the residence​, requesting to use the bathroom. Multiple girls inside the home (elementary school ages) reported they saw the suspect holding and touching his genitalia. 

Deputies arrested 21-year-old Koleman Barns, of Utah, on a single count of indecent exposure, a class 6 felony charge. He was booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility without incident. This case remains open and ​ongoing by Mesa County Sheriff’s investigators. 

As a reminder to all homeowners, the best practice is to avoid allowing anyone you don’t know inside your home.
