GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. - On August 6, 2026, deputies with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a follow-up report of a restraining order violation on the 2700 block of Rincon Drive in Grand Junction, Colorado. Deputies contacted an individual who claimed that a male residing at the address was refusing to leave. 

Through an investigation, deputies found that the reporting individual, identified as Teresa Werner, 62, of Grand Junction, Colorado, had falsified or manipulated information on legal documents presented to deputies in an attempt to influence their law enforcement proceedings.

As a result of the investigation, Werner was arrested and transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:

• Attempt to influence a public servant, Felony 4
• Attempt to influence a public servant, Felony 4
