CLIFTON, CO - On October 31, 2025, at 11:50 p.m., deputies with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office responded to multiple calls of individuals shot at an address on the 400 block of Cottonwood Lake Drive in Clifton, Colorado. Upon arrival, deputies located two victims with serious bodily injuries and immediately began rendering cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and other lifesaving efforts. Emergency Medical personnel from the Clifton Fire Protection district transported the two victims to an area hospital.
Through their preliminary investigation, deputies learned an incident may have occurred at a house party at the address, leading to a suspect or suspects firing multiple rounds.
As of 12:50 a.m. on November 1, 2025, both victims were pronounced deceased. The investigation is now that of a double homicide.

The Mesa County Coroner’s Office is responsible for determining the cause and manner of death and identity of the victims.
