Each year, the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office, Colorado State Patrol, Lower Valley Fire Department, and other state and federal emergency service partners work together to respond to law enforcement and emergency medical needs in and around Country Jam, hosted in Mack, Colorado.
This year, the number of law enforcement and emergency medical responses during the three day country music festival were as follows:
Mesa County Sheriff’s Office

Colorado State Patrol
- Traffic Stops: 61
- DUI Arrests: 1
- DUI Crashes: 0
Lower Valley Fire
- Fire Related: 4
- Total Patients Contacted: 81
- Patients Transported to Hospital: 8
The most common needs for medical attention during Country Jam were respiratory issues, heat related illness, and wound care. Lower Valley also responded to two carbon monoxide issues or complaints.
The single arrest made by the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office during the three day event resulted in a female receiving charges of criminal trespassing, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. She was released on a summons and removed from the property. Overall, Deputies responded to fewer than 10 reports of fights, as well as fewer than 10 reports of verbal altercations.
