We have been made aware of a sudden uptick in "you have a warrant" related scam phone calls. If you receive a call claiming there is a warrant out for your arrest - for any reason - HANG UP IMMEDIATELY.

 

Law enforcement and other government agencies will NOT call you to tell you that you have a warrant for your arrest.

 

If the caller demands payment or says that you can make the warrant "go away" by providing some form of payment, DO NOT PAY ANYTHING. Do not provide the caller any banking or payment information. Legitimate law enforcement and government agencies will never ask you to pay in cryptocurrency, gift cards, or at unaffiliated kiosks.
