Grand Junction, Colo. - Engaged and aware parents reviewed text messages on their teen’s phone recently, that they described as inappropriate, and contacted law enforcement. Through a review and investigation conducted by Mesa County Sheriff’s Office investigators, Franklin Martin, 69, of Julesburg, Colo., was arrested in Grand Junction on October 10, 2025.

Martin was arrested without incident and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on one count each of the following charges:

• Sexual Exploitation of a Child, class 3 Felony
• Soliciting for a Child Prostitution, class 3 Felony
• Pandering of a Child, class 2 Felony
