Preventing stolen cars is as easy as locking your car and storing the keys inside your home. __% of recent car thefts, the car was left unlocked, and/or the keys were left inside. We know thieves look for easy opportunities when looking to commit a crime. Often when faced with a locked car, thieves simply move on to the next car, the next neighborhood.
As we move into colder temperatures, be mindful of running your car in your driveway. Remember, leaving your car running while unattended and unlocked or “puffing,” is against the law. Remote starts where your car is locked and secure are allowed.
