Update August 3, 2025 at 6:30 p.m.: Enoch Fire Measured at 20 Acres on Private Land
The Enoch Fire is now measured at 20 acres. It remains on private lands. The Mesa County Sheriff's Office, Mesa County Sheriff's Wildland Fire Team, Glade Park Fire Department, Grand Junction Fire Department, Mesa County Fire Authority, De Beque Fire Department, Lower Valley Fire Department, and Palisade Fire Department are all responding. JS Road remains closed at South 16 1/2 Road in Glade Park. The public is asked to continue to avoid the area.
ORIGINAL August 3, 2025 at 3:40 p.m.: JS Road Closed at 16 1/2 Road in Glade Park Due to Fire Activity
GLADE PARK, CO - As of 3 p.m. on August 3, 2025, JS Road at South 16 1/2 Road in Glade Park, Colorado, is closed due to fire activity. At approximately 1:30 p.m. the Grand Junction Regional Communication Center received multiple calls regarding a visible plume of smoke near Glade Park. Deputies with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area and located an active and growing fire. As of the time of this release, the fire is located on private lands and stands at approximately 10 acres. Structures are reported to be threatened, though mitigation efforts are in progress. The public is asked to please avoid the area as to allow fire personnel and vehicles to quickly and safely access the fire. Updates will be provided as they are available.
