UNCOMPAHGRE NATIONAL FOREST, CO - As of 8 p.m. on July 17, 2025 a PRE-EVACUATION NOTICE has been given for all private in-holdings in the Uncompahgre National Forest from Forest Road 406 to 409. It can be seen as the Cold Springs Evacuation Zone on the map below.

The Evacuation Center can be found at the Clifton Community Center at 3270 D 1/2 Road, Clifton, CO. Please note, this is not a housing shelter. Individuals who have been displaced will be assessed for needs, including housing, and connected to resources.

For those with large animals who need assistance in securing shelter for their large animals please call 970-778-0161 to be connected with options and resources.

The public is asked to please avoid this area to allow fire crews to continue work containing the Turner Gulch and Wright Draw Fires.
