Jonathan Gallegos, 52, of Grand Junction was arrested Monday night for the following charges: Vehicular Eluding F5, Resisting Arrest M2, Obstructing a Peace Officer M2, Driving under Revocation, Drove Vehicle without Proper Class of Driver's License, Display Fictitious Tab title sticker plate, Reckless Driving, Expired License Plates, Second Degree Criminal Trespass M3, Failed to Stop for a Red Light
At approximately 10:00 p.m. a deputy observed a motorcycle running a red light and traveling at a high rate of speed on Orchard Ave near 29 Road. The deputy initiated a traffic stop, but the motorcycle failed to yield. The driver, identified as Jonathan Gallegos, abandoned the motorcycle near the intersection of 28 1/2 Road and North Ave then ran into a neighborhood. Deputies located Gallegos and he was arrested without further incident.
After being medically cleared at the hospital, Gallegos was transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility. For updated bond amounts click here.
