MESA COUNTY, Colo. - In separate incidents on August 28, 2026, deputies first took a report of a stolen vehicle from the Glade Park area, and then an unrelated report of domestic violence in Clifton.
Deputies located a vehicle with damaged tires and a broken rear window in the area of E and 32 Roads, in Clifton. During the investigation, deputies identified Jeffrey Watson, 43, of Grand Junction as the suspect. Watson was not located at the time of the investigation, and a warrant was issued for his arrest in connection with this case.
On August 31, at approximately 4:45 p.m., deputies on patrol located and arrested Watson in the area of 31 ½ Rd. and Eaglewood Ct., Grand Junction. He was booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:
- Criminal Mischief $1000 - $2000, Misdemeanor 1
- Harassment - follows person in public places, Misdemeanor 1
- Domestic Violence
Just before 10:30 a.m. on August 31, deputies took Clinton Jensen, 46, of Grand Junction into custody after he was stopped in the stolen vehicle from August 28. Jensen was the only occupant in the vehicle at the time of his arrest, and he was located on DS Road in the Glade Park area.
He was booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:
- 2nd degree motor vehicle theft, Felony 4
- 2nd degree criminal trespass, enclosed fenced property, Petty Offense
Around 10 p.m. on August 31, deputies contacted and arrested Zachary Mellon, 25, homeless, in the area of 30 Rd. and Teller Ct., Grand Junction. Mellon had seven outstanding failure-to-appear warrants for traffic violations and drugs. He was booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility and is being held on cash-only bonds totaling $1,850.
