“Operation Fast Track” Announced as Flagship Investigation Targeting Narcotics Trafficking and Repeat Offenders

The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office today announced the launch of its new Smart Prosecution, Strategic Intelligence and Violence Elimination Unit, a premier unit dedicated to using criminal intelligence, data analysis and coordinated prosecution strategies to identify and address the individuals and criminal networks responsible for driving violence and persistent criminal activity in Dutchess County.

District Attorney Anthony Parisi said, “The launch of our Smart Prosecution, Strategic Intelligence and Violence Elimination Unit represents a fundamental shift toward a more focused, intelligence-driven approach to public safety. We are bringing prosecutors, investigators and analysts together at the beginning of an investigation to identify the individuals and criminal networks causing the greatest harm and build strong, comprehensive cases against them.  Operation Fast Track demonstrates exactly what this unit was created to accomplish. By combining crime analysis, strategic intelligence and coordinated enforcement, we are targeting the intersection of narcotics trafficking, repeat offending and violent crime. Our message is clear: if you repeatedly endanger our neighborhoods by trafficking dangerous drugs and contributing to violence, we will identify you, build the strongest case the evidence supports and hold you accountable.”
