The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office is committed to protecting every member of our community from acts of hate. Learn how to recognize, report, and seek help for hate crimes, and explore resources for victims and communities affected by bias-motivated incidents.

To report hate crimes or bias incidents in New York State, call the Hate & Bias Prevention Unit at 1-844-NO-2-HATE (1-844-662-4283), available Monday–Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For community-specific support, the following organizations have trained staff ready to help:

• LGBTQ+: The Trevor Project — call or text 1-866-488-7386, or text START to 678-678
