A lifelong resident of Dutchess County, District Attorney Anthony P. Parisi began his legal career in the Dutchess County Public Defender's Office, representing indigent clients. Three years later, he became an Assistant District Attorney. Subsequently, and for more than twenty-five years, Anthony Parisi has continued to serve in the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office before being elected to the position of District Attorney.
“As your District Attorney, I am committed to reducing crime, ensuring the safety of our communities, and upholding justice with fairness and integrity for everyone.”
"Our goal is to make our communities safer by working smarter and preventing crime before it happens”.
Since taking office, DA Parisi has made significant progress in implementing Intelligence Driven Prosecution (IDP) within the District Attorney’s Office. IDP focuses on improving information-gathering through close collaboration with local law enforcement and extensive community outreach. Additionally, DA Parisi has been working to secure funding for the Analysis and Real Time Crime Intelligence Center (ARTCIC) in partnership with local law enforcement and community representatives. ARTCIC will help law enforcement respond more efficiently and strategically to crime, with enhanced operational intelligence and a proactive approach to the safety of officers, citizens, and the community.
