GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. - On July 21, 2026, at approximately 12:25 p.m., deputies with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a male threatening other members in the home with a knife. When deputies arrived, the male was seen holding a shovel, which he refused to drop before entering a vehicle and fleeing at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was stopped about a block away where the suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
The suspect was identified as Jonathan Anderson, 27, of Grand Junction, Colorado. Anderson was transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:
