GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. - Investigators with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joshua Cross, 38, of Grand Junction, yesterday on a single charge of internet luring of a child. Cross was arrested in the 200 block of 31 ¾ Road, after information was provided by a source indicating he was in communication with someone he believed to be a 13-year-old girl with the intention of meeting up with her for a sexual encounter. 

Cross was arrested without incident and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charge:

• Internet Luring of a Child/Intent of Sexual Contact/Exploitation, Felony 4

Cross was previously convicted of sex crimes in 2005. No further information is available at this time.
