Time of Incident: Approximately 8:00 p.m.
On December 23, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., proactive law-enforcement work by a Moffat County Sheriff’s Office deputy and K-9 resulted in the arrest of two Craig men on drug- and weapon-related charges.
Deputy Pogline of the Moffat County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle displaying expired registration. Quintus Robinson, age 54, of Craig, was identified as the driver. During the stop, a free-air sniff was conducted by K-9 Prime, who alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.
A subsequent search of the vehicle and its occupants led to the discovery of distribution-level quantities of suspected methamphetamine and a handgun.
With assistance from the Craig Police Department, deputies later executed a search warrant on a motel room where passenger Larry Norman, age 46, of Craig, was residing. That search resulted in the discovery of additional suspected narcotics, drug-distribution equipment, and another firearm.
As a result of the investigation:
Quintus Robinson was arrested and charged with:
Possession of not more than four grams of a Schedule I or II controlled substance
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Display of expired number plates
Failure to present evidence of insurance
Larry Norman was arrested and charged with:
Unlawful distribution/manufacture of a controlled substance
Possession of a weapon by a previous offender
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Violation of a protection order
Both individuals were booked into the Moffat County Jail. All charges are accusations, and both individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Sheriff Chip McIntyre praised the work of his staff, stating:
