The Mesa County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to identify the person believed to be involved in several recent thefts in Orchard Mesa.
At approximately 7:20 a.m. on July 26, 2024, an unknown subject entered the victim's truck and then stole a child's bicycle near the 200 block of 29 Road in Grand Junction. The Grand Junction Police Department later recovered the bike, but the suspect ran from the scene. He is described as a 20-30-year-old white or Hispanic male with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black or dark blue jacket with reflective stripes.
