All applicants will need a $100.00 processing fee in the form of cash, OR PREFERRED check or money order, made payable to the Moffat County Sheriff's Office (MCSO).

In addition, NEW PERMITS a $52.50 processing fee in the form of cash, OR PREFERRED check or money order made payable to the Moffat County Sheriff's Office. This fee pays for a state and national criminal history check (fingerprints) and for an Insta-check (NICS) per Statute. This is required for all regular civilian applicants. For RENEWAL PERMITS a $13.00 fee for the CBI fee is required, as well as a $50.00 made payable to the Moffat County Sheriff's Office for the sheriff's fee.

• To conduct a thorough background investigation and comply with State Laws, it is required that all applicants be fingerprinted and photographed by the Sheriff's Office. The Moffat County Detention Center will take photographs and fingerprints everyday.
• NOTE: Thursday are our busiest days with court, therefore we will only take photographs and fingerprints after 3:00 pm on Thursday . Thank you for your understanding..
• Your application can not be processed until your photograph and fingerprints are taken..
