On February 16 at 6:08AM, NCPD officers responded to a residence in the 1600 block of South Jefferson Street for a burglary.  The caller stated that someone broke into the residence and was shot by the home owner.  NCPD officers located the male suspect inside of the residence with a gun shot wound to his left leg.  NCPD officers rendered aid to the suspect and he was transported to Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.  

On 2-19-2026 a warrant was issued for the actor, Michael Boice.  Boice is charged with one count of Criminal Trespass, a 3rd degree felony.  Boice is still hospitalized in Ohio and he will be extradited when he is discharged.  

The homeowner will not face charges.
