WINTER STORM WARNING
WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT- National Weather Service Grand Junction, CO (weather.gov) has issued a WINTER STORM WARNING from 5 pm Tuesday February 21st through 5 am Thursday February 23rd.
This winter storm warning effects the lower Yampa River Basin and Central River Basin. Heavy snow and blowing snow are expected, with snow accumulations from 5 to 10 inches with over a foot possible across higher terrain. Winds are expected to gust over 45 mph at times.
This storm will make travel difficult, snow and blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility at times, motorist should only travel if absolutely necessary. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, water and blankets in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
