GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. - Between February 27 and March 2, 2026, Investigators with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce conducted an operation to identify and arrest individuals soliciting sex from minors in Mesa County.

The operation concluded with four arrests over the four day period. The suspects were booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:

Max Jones, 49, Grand Junction

• Internet Luring of a Child/Intent of Sexual Contact/Exploitation, Felony 4

• Criminal Attempt, Felony 5

• Sex Assault on a Child, Felony 4

Jose Suarez-Tavera, 42, Grand Junction

• Criminal Attempt, Felony 5

• Sex Assault on a Child, Felony 4

Angella Garcia, 28, Grand Junction

• Internet Luring of a Child/Intent of Sexual Contact/Exploitation, Felony 4

• Enticement of Child, Felony 4

• Sexual Assault - Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child, Felony 4

• Criminal Attempt, Felony 5

• Sexual Assault on a Child/Victim < Years/At Least 4 Years Difference In Age, Felony 4

James Kellerby, 66, Clifton

• Internet Luring of a Child/Intent of Sexual Contact/Exploitation, Felony 4

• Enticement of Child, Felony 4

• Criminal Attempt, Felony 5

• Sexual Assault - Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child, Felony 4

• Sexual Assault on a Child/Victim < Years/At Least 4 Years Difference In Age, Felony 4
