MESA COUNTY, Colorado- In less than an hour the Mesa County Sheriff's Office Records department has received calls from at least 5 parties reporting scam phone calls.  The fraudulent call indicates that the caller is from our department and the caller id shows the phone number as 970-244-3500. They claim that the answering party missed court and now owes money. 

THIS IS A SCAM!! The Mesa county Sheriff's Office will not request you to purchase a card, money order, or anything similar over the phone. Do not provide any information to this type of caller.
