Man Apprehended After Pursuit

Mesa County, Colo- On May 20, 2021 Deputies were dispatched to the area of 24 and I roads just before 4 pm for a man who was using bear spray and possibly firing a hand gun. Upon arrival they were able to locate the man and his vehicle at which time he fled and deputies pursued. He stopped at Community Hospital, which went into lockdown, and deputies were able to take him into custody without injury to the man or deputies. Formal charges are pending and the investigation continues.
