On June 16, 2024, at approximately 10:55 p.m., Deputies with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a fight involving multiple individuals and gunshots at Kimwood Park located at 3240 White Avenue in Clifton.

Through interviews with witnesses and neighbors in the area, it was determined that two juveniles were involved in an arranged fight. Each juvenile had with them a group of associates, which included adults. During the incident, an individual from each group fired an unknown number of shots into the air.

There were no injuries and there is no known damage to surrounding homes as a result of the gunshots. The investigation into this incident is ongoing. There is no continued danger to the community.
