Apply Now: Victim Advocate Volunteer

There is still time to volunteer as a Victim’s Advocate for the Mesa County Sheriff's Office!

Victim Advocates play a critical role in helping survivors begin to heal. They are trained volunteers who respond to scenes of crime and other traumatic incidents to provide comfort, compassion, and resources to a person who may have just experienced the worst event in their life.

Studies have shown the sooner a person who experiences a trauma gets support, the sooner they can begin to heal and the more complete their healing.  Victim Advocate volunteers provide that support.

We're now accepting applications for the next training academy. Evening classes start Tuesday, September 7, 2021.

Apply now by calling Tracy Baker (970)244-3275 or download the application here.
