The Mesa County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that occurred over the weekend at a residence on the 600 block of Jackson St. in Clifton.

At approximately 6:45 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a report of a shooting. Deputies located an adult male with a gunshot wound and immediately rendered aid. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries but is expected to survive. 

Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and identify the person(s) responsible. At this point in the investigation, this is believed to be an isolated incident.
