The Mesa County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to identify two people believed to be involved in using stolen credit cards.
At about 8:20 am on June 15, 2022, a purse was stolen from a car while the owner was unloading groceries into their home in the area of Ox Bow Road and F 1/2 Road.
Later that morning, the stolen credit cards were used at the 12th Street City Market. More than $1100 in gift cards and gas were fraudulently charged.
Surveillance video captured images of the individuals believed to be involved and their car. The first person is described as a male wearing a grey shirt, dark pants with a dark-colored Cardinal's hat, and a purple bandana. The second person is a male wearing dark pants, a blue/grey hoodie, and a Blue Jays hat.
