Mesa County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Beau Deaver on February 23, 2021, on an outstanding warrant. Deaver was wanted for walking away from Community Corrections. When deputies tried to contact Deaver, he barricaded in an apartment on the 400 block of Coronado Way. The Mesa County Sheriff's Office and Grand Junction Police Department combined SWAT team responded. After several hours, Deaver was arrested without further incident. Deaver is facing the following charges: Unauthorized Absence - Aggravated VRA Crime or Crime of Violence F6 (warrant), Failure to Comply (warrant), Resisting Arrest M2, Refusal to Leave Premises upon Request of a Peace Officer.
