GATEWAY, CO - As of 11 a.m. on August 16, 2025, all private lands in the Big Creek, Ute Creek, and Divide Forks Campground Zones have been moved OUT of Pre-Evacuation status.

With this change, there are no longer any private lands within the Turner Gulch Fire area remaining under any pre-evacuation or evacuation status.

The Uncompaghre Divide Road and the Niche Road (6 3/10 Road) remain closed to the public.

As of 8 a.m. the Northern Rockies Incident Management Team 2 has estimated the Turner Gulch fire to be at 79% containment across 31,679 acres outside of Gateway, Colorado.
Please note, area closures remain in effect on United States Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management lands. Please refer to USFS and BLM websites for further information.
