Support Your Local Sheriffs: A Message from the Moffat County Sheriff's Office
You may have recently received—or may soon receive—a letter in the mail from the County Sheriffs of Colorado (CSOC), asking for your support. We want to assure you that this is a legitimate request and not a scam. Below, we’ve included an example of the letter for your reference.
CSOC is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, meaning all contributions are tax-deductible. Since 1975, CSOC has been committed to preserving and strengthening the Office of Sheriff in Colorado. They do this by providing high-quality training, resources, and support for both law enforcement personnel and community members—always guided by integrity, transparency, and accountability.
Thanks to CSOC, many of our Moffat County deputies have received advanced training opportunities that help enhance safety and well-being across our county. Their work directly impacts the level of service we’re able to provide to our community.
If you didn’t receive a letter but would still like to contribute, you can do so at:

We know that not everyone has the means to donate, and we want you to know: your support, in any form, truly matters. Whether through donations, kind words, or simply your trust—we see you, and we are proud to serve a community that stands behind its law enforcement.
