Hillsboro, NH – On February 19th at 11:31 AM, a detective was responding to a call on Greenfield Drive in Emerald Lake when his cruiser was struck by a plow truck operated by a private company. The plow truck operator stopped due to vehicles in the roadway, accelerated in reverse, and collided with the detective's stopped cruiser. The force of the impact deployed the airbags and drove the cruiser backward by around 10 feet.

The detective sustained a broken arm in five locations and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The operator of the plow truck was uninjured. The extent of the damage suggests the cruiser will be deemed irreparable.
