A PROCLAMATION

To recognize Keenesburg’s participation in National Night Out, 2024 and declaring August 6, 2024 as National Night Out in Keenesburg.

WHEREAS, the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) is sponsoring a unique, nationwide crime, drug and violence prevention program on August 6, 2024 entitled “National Night Out”; and

WHEREAS, the “41^st Annual National Night Out” provides a unique opportunity for Keenesburg to join forces with thousands of other communities across the country and promoting cooperative, police-community crime prevention efforts; and

WHEREAS, the town of Keenesburg plays a vital role in assisting the Keenesburg Police Department through joint crime, drug, and violence prevention efforts in Keenesburg and is supporting “national night out 2024 locally; and

WHEREAS it is essential that citizens of Keenesburg be aware of the importance of crime prevention programs and impact that their participation can have on reducing crime, drugs and violence in Keenesburg; and

WHEREAS police-community partnerships, neighborhood safety, awareness and cooperation are important themes of the National Night out Program;

NOW, THEREFORE WE, THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES, do hereby call upon all citizens of Keenesburg to join the town of Keenesburg, in supporting the “41^st Annual National Night Out” on August 6, 2024, and

FURTHER, I, Aron Lam, Mayor of the Town of Keenesburg, Colorado, by virtue of my authority proclaim August 6, 2024 as National Night Out in Keenesburg.
