At approximately 9:45 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2021, deputies responded to a report of a stabbing at a residence on the 500 block of Garfield Drive. Deputies found an adult male suffering from stab wounds. The 32-year-old male was transported to the hospital with serious injuries but is expected to survive. 

Investigators were able to quickly identify a suspect known to the victim. The suspect is identified as a juvenile. This is believed to be an isolated incident.

The juvenile was screened into the Department of Youth Services on the charge of Assault in the First Degree. The identity of the juvenile will be released in accordance with Colorado open records laws. 

The circumstances surrounding this incident are still under investigation.
