The Culpeper Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying the driver and/or vehicle involved in a hit and run motor vehicle crash with a pedestrian in the 1000-block of N. Main St.; located within the Town of Culpeper. The incident occurred while the pedestrian was attempting to cross the road on Tuesday, May 11th, 2021 around 10:00 p.m.

Based on witness statements and evidence left at the scene, the suspect vehicle is a 2006 - 2013 silver/light gray smaller sedan style vehicle; possibly a Chevrolet or Pontiac make. The vehicle would likely have damage to the passenger side and/or passenger mirror as a result of the crash. It would also be missing the black passenger mirror cover. After striking the pedestrian, the suspect vehicle fled the scene heading northbound on N. Main St. It is unknown which direction the vehicle went from there.
