
On the 12th of April, the Hillsboro Police Department, in collaboration with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Street Crime Task Force, conducted a highly organized operation that was part of the Substance Abuse Reduction Grant. The operation was aimed at serving multiple arrest warrants in Hillsboro, which was successfully executed.
As a result of the operation, a total of 7 individuals were apprehended and taken into custody. The individuals face various charges, including but not limited to:
Sale of methamphetamine
Sale of crack cocaine
Felon in possession of a dangerous weapon
Endangerment of the welfare of a child
Violation of a protection order
Furthermore, during the operation, K9 Dice was deployed to assist officers. The highly trained K9 indicated the presence of narcotics during a traffic stop. The vehicle was seized and impounded pending the application of a search warrant.
The effective operation is a testament to the commitment of the Hillsboro Police Department and the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Street Crime Task Force to keep the community safe.
