🚨 Vehicle Trespass Alert – Lochwood & Berkshire Neighborhoods 🚨

The Lochbuie Police Department is currently investigating multiple vehicle break-ins reported in the Lochwood and Berkshire neighborhoods.

In these incidents, unknown suspect(s) canvassed the area checking for unlocked vehicles. Several vehicles were entered, and items were stolen.

🕒 Timeframe: Evening of April 14th through the morning of April 15th

We are asking residents in these areas to:
🔍 Check home security cameras for any suspicious activity during this timeframe
📹 Submit any relevant video footage to asmith@lochbuie.org

Your assistance can help us identify those responsible.

🔒 Protect Yourself:

• LOCK your vehicles every time
• REMOVE all valuables (especially firearms, wallets, purses, laptops)
• Do NOT leave anything in plain sight

Help keep our community safe by properly securing firearms in vehicles.

If you must leave a firearm in your vehicle, please make sure it is:

🔒 Handguns:

• Locked in a hard-sided container
• Placed out of plain view
• Inside a locked vehicle, trunk, or RV

🔒 Rifles/Shotguns:

• Locked in a hard- or soft-sided container
• Inside a locked vehicle, trunk, or RV
• If using a soft case, a locking device must also be installed

A locked glove box or center console counts as a secure container

Taking these simple steps can help prevent theft and keep firearms out of the wrong hands.
