Handle with Care Registry

The Lochbuie Police Department created the Handle with Care registry to assist officers in interactions with individuals with mental illness or cognitive conditions affecting communication. Using voluntarily provided information, it enhances police response to vulnerable populations.

The registry helps officers and emergency responders provide better care for loved ones with special needs, including Autism, Down Syndrome, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and Substance Abuse.
