The author took a little vacation, so we apologize for missing last week's summary. Fortunately, crime waited patiently for us to get back.

To make up for it, here's everything Keenesburg PD has been up to over the last two weeks.

26KE00669:

On 7/13, Hudson Officers received a Flock alert about a stolen vehicle parked at the Pilot Gas Station on WCR 49. Thinking it sounded like a good time, they called Keenesburg for assistance.

Keenesburg Officers located the stolen vehicle and followed it as it left the gas station. Once additional officers caught up, a traffic stop was initiated and the suspect, Mr. Terrel McEntire, wisely decided to stop.

Mr. McEntire was taken into custody without incident and provided complimentary room and board for the evening at the Weld County Jail.

26KE00675:

On 7/14, Keenesburg Officers watched a vehicle treat a stop sign as more of a suggestion than a requirement while turning onto WCR 18 from N. Market St.

Upon stopping the vehicle, officers learned the driver, Mr. Sebastian Duenez Moralez, apparently held similar opinions about driver's licenses and court dates, as he also had an active warrant for his arrest out of Denver.

Mr. Duenez Moralez was taken into custody and transported to the Weld County Jail.

26KE00677:

On 7/14, Keenesburg Officers received a Flock notification for a vehicle displaying a stolen license plate.

Officers stopped the vehicle as it traveled westbound on I-76 and contacted the driver, Mr. Joseph Levasseur, who explained the stolen plate came with the vehicle when he purchased it.

Unfortunately for Mr. Levasseur, officers had previously stopped the exact same vehicle... when it wasn't wearing the stolen plate.

Mr. Levasseur was charged with Theft and Misuse of Plates.

26KE00678:

On 7/14, Keenesburg Officers responded to the laundromat on Main Street after employees found a wallet someone had left behind.

Fortunately for the owner, officers knew exactly where she lived.

Unfortunately for the owner, officers also remembered she had forgotten about a court date on a traffic summons.

Officers reunited Ms. Xereni Garcia with her wallet and then escorted her to the Weld County Jail on her warrant.

Talk about customer service.

26KE00683:

On 7/15, Keenesburg Officers were assisting Hudson PD when they noticed a commonly stolen vehicle driving without license plates.

Thinking that was a little suspicious, officers stopped the vehicle near Highway 52 and I-76 and contacted the driver, Ms. Kelly Mott.

Ms. Mott was operating an unregistered vehicle while also driving on a revoked license stemming from a previous DUI.

Ms. Mott was taken into custody and transported to the Weld County Jail.

26KE00648:

On 7/9, Keenesburg Officers developed charges against Mr. David Combs for Harassment and Criminal Mischief after an incident at the Keene Motel.

On 7/15, officers learned Mr. Combs had returned to the scene.

Apparently he forgot the first rule of returning to the scene of the crime.

Mr. Combs was taken into custody and transported to the Weld County Jail.

26KE00688:

On 7/16, Keenesburg Officers were cruising WCR 49 when a vehicle slowly passed them at 100 mph.

Officers contacted the driver, Mr. Damian Archuleta, who insisted he was only traveling 75 mph but couldn't explain why the radar thought otherwise.

Officers also learned Mr. Archuleta was borrowing his friend's brand-new car.

His friend, who happened to be sitting in the passenger seat, appeared significantly less enthusiastic about the situation.

Mr. Archuleta received an appointment with a judge to discuss his driving habits.

26KE00691:

On 7/17, Keenesburg Officers noticed a dump truck displaying license plates that expired in 2024.

Not being great at math, officers decided to ask the driver to double-check whether the truck was, in fact, about two years overdue.

The driver, Mr. Gerardo Ramos, confirmed the math and also revealed the truck had no insurance and that he was driving on a suspended license.

Mr. Ramos was taken to the Weld County Jail while the dump truck took its own trip to the impound lot until the registration and insurance issues could be sorted out.

26KE00702:

On 7/17, Keenesburg Officers found a vehicle traveling a modest 84 mph on WCR 49.

Officers stopped the vehicle and contacted Mr. Erik Brown, who admitted he hadn't been paying close attention to his speed.

Mr. Brown had also forgotten to pay attention to his calendar, having missed a court date in Larimer County.

Mr. Brown was arrested on his warrant and transported to the Weld County Jail.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
