Stay Alert!
After leaving the bank, always be aware of your surroundings to avoid falling victim to bank jugging. What is bank jugging? It is when criminals target individuals who have just made cash withdrawals. The suspects watch customers withdraw money from an ATM or go in and out of a financial institution, and then follow the customer to look for an opportunity to take their cash. The suspect may burglarize an individual's car or rob the victim directly. Keep your transactions discreet, avoid flashing cash, and be cautious of anyone following you after leaving a bank. If you notice anything suspicious, report it immediately.
Let's work together to prevent bank jugging and keep our community safe!
