On October 22, 2024 the Culpeper Police Department obtained arrest warrants for Dashon L. Robinson, 33, of Culpeper with Willful Discharge of a Firearm, Reckless Handling of a Firearm, and Brandishing. Robinson is currently wanted on these charges, as well as an additional misdemeanor warrant for Brandishing stemming from an unrelated incident in the Town of Culpeper. The Culpeper Police Department also obtained an arrest warrant for Malcolm J. Parker, 32, of Culpeper with Assault and Battery. Parker was served on his warrant and then released.
On October 18, 2024 at approximately 8:49PM, the Culpeper Police Department responded to a fight between two men at a local brewery in the 300-block of S East St. Based on current evidence, Parker and Robinson were strangers who began to argue verbally. During the argument, Parker struck Robinson with a drinking glass. Robinson then used his handgun as a blunt object to strike Parker. It was during this exchange that Robinson’s firearm discharged a single round, but no one was struck by the bullet. Robinson fled the scene prior to law enforcement’s arrival.

On October 18, 2024 at approximately 8:49PM, the Culpeper County E-911 Center received 911 calls of a fight at a local brewery in the 300-block of S East St. Culpeper Police Department officers and Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the location and located an adult male suffering from non-life threatening injuries. The man was transported by EMS to a local hospital. The other involved adult male fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.
Detectives responded to the scene to interview witnesses and collect evidence. A Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office K9 team also responded to the scene to assist. Based on the initial information gathered, the two males were strangers. They began to argue verbally, and the confrontation escalated into a physical fight. During the physical fight, one of the males was struck with a drinking glass. The other male used his handgun as a blunt object to strike the first male, causing injury. It was around this point that the firearm was discharged a single time, but no one was injured by the gunshot. The male with the firearm then fled the scene.
