- On 3/23/2026, Tyquawn D Bethel (age 35) of Batavia, was arrested for Criminal Contempt 1st and Aggravated Family Offense.
Bethel is accused of violating an order of protection. He was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail, where he is currently incarcerated, on unrelated charges.
- On 3/24/2026, Jasmine L Nelson (age 28) of Batavia, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th, and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd.
Nelson was charged following an investigation into an incident where she allegedly left narcotics and drug paraphernalia inside a rental vehicle, when she returned it. She was arraigned in CAP Court.
- On 3/23/2026, Wayne D Potter (age 42) of Batavia, was arrested for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
Potter allegedly failed to register his address, as he is required to do as a level 2 sex offender. He was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail.
- On 3/19/2026, Tyler W Reeves, Austin A Heideman, Jamie A Dutton, Johnathan L Soloman, Julie L Dutton, and Sandra L Marsceill were all arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th.
All six were charged following a Parole home visit on East Main St, where they were found in possession of narcotics. Soloman was additionally charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, Falsifying Business Records 1st, and Criminal Impersonation 2nd. Marsceill was also charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence and Reeves was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd.
- On 3/19/2026, Chad E Alwardt (age 46) of Pavilion, was arrested on an Arrest Warrant, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th.
The charges stem from an incident in December of 2024, when Alwardt was allegedly found in possession of narcotics. He was arraigned in CAP Court and released.
- On 3/21/2026, Jon H Bush Jr (age 42) of Batavia, was arrested on a Bench Warrant.
The warrant was issued after Bush failed to appear in court on a misdemeanor traffic ticket. He was arraigned in CAP Court and released.
- On 3/23/2026, Mariha E Taylor (age 33) of Rochester, was arrested on an Arrest Warrant.
The warrant was issued after Taylor failed to appear in court on a misdemeanor traffic ticket. She was arraigned in CAP Court and released.
- On 3/20/2026, Nasir C Nathan (age 30) of Batavia, was arrested on an Arrest Warrant.
The warrant was issued after Nathan failed to appear in court on a misdemeanor traffic ticket. He was arraigned in CAP Court and released.
- On 3/24/2026, Eddie L Miles (age 54) of Batavia, was arrested for Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd and Petit Larceny.
Miles was charged following a Parole home visit, during which he allegedly ran out of the house. He was located several hours later at a residence on Thorp St. He was held at the Genesee County Jail pending arraignment on a Parole Warrant.
- On 3/19/2026, John Watkins (age 43) of Rochester, was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.
The charges are the result of an investigation into a traffic stop in January. He was issued several traffic tickets and released.
- On 3/21/2026, Michael J Metz (age 48) of Alexander, was arrested for DWI.
Metz was charged following a traffic stop on Washington Ave. He was issued several traffic tickets and released.
- On 3/21/2026, Heriberto Benitez (age 52) of Batavia, was arrested for Trespass.
Benitez was allegedly found on the property at Tops, after having previously been trespassed. He was issued an appearance ticket and released.
- On 3/19/2026, Jason W Alexander (age 47) of Batavia, was arrested for Harassment 2nd and Resisting Arrest.
Alexander allegedly threatened another person, during an altercation at the Batavia City Centre. He then allegedly resisted arrest and kicked an Officer in the face. He was issued an appearance ticket and released.
- On 3/202/2026, Gloria L Peckham (age 65) of Batavia, was arrested for Petit Larceny.
Peckham allegedly stole property from another tenant in her apartment building. She was issued an appearance ticket and released.
