• On 1/6/2026, Vaughn M Portwood (age 36) of Batavia, was arrested for Criminal Contempt 1^st, Harassment 2^nd and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Portwood allegedly pushed another person, while they were holding a child, during an altercation on South Main St. He was arraigned in CAP Court and released.

• On 1/8/2026, Jon H Bush Jr (age 42) of Batavia, was arrested for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5^th.

It’s alleged that Bush Jr was found in possession of a stole cell phone. He was issued an appearance ticket and released.

• On 1/6/2026, Kristian L Alexander (age 45) of Batavia, was arrested for DWI.

Alexander was arrested after an investigation into a traffic complaint of an intoxicated driver. Alexander was issued several traffic tickets and is due in court on 1/21/2026.

• On 1/8/2026, Jessica L Culver (age 36) of Batavia, was arrested on a warrant.

The warrant stems from an incident in March of 2025, when Culver allegedly stole merchandise from Family Dollar. The warrant was issued when Culver failed to appear in court. She was arraigned in CAP Court and released.

• On 1/9/2026, Sonya M Moyer (age 53) of Hamlin, was arrested for DWI.

Moyer was charged following a traffic stop on East Main St. She was issued several traffic tickets and released.

• On 1/7/2026, Eric S Dawson-Leach (age 36) of Batavia, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7^th.

The charge is related to an incident that occurred in October, when Dawson-Leach was allegedly found in possession of cocaine, during his arrest on an unrelated warrant. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court on 1/20/2026.

• On 1/10/2026, Samuel J Hernandez (age 23) of Batavia, was arrested for Petit Larceny.

Hernandez allegedly stole merchandise from High Voltage Tattoo and Piercing. He was arraigned in CAP Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail.

• On 1/10/2026, Trace G Brewer (age 25) of Batavia, was arrested on a Bench Warrant.

The warrant stems from an incident where Brewer allegedly ran from Police, during a larceny investigation, and was found in possession of narcotics. During his arrest on the warrant, he and his girlfriend Justin D Wood were allegedly found in possession of narcotics. They were each charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7^th. Wood was issued an appearance ticket and released. Brewer was arraigned in CAP Court and is due in Batavia City Court at a later date.

• On 1/9/2026, Wendy J Bowen (age 60) of Batavia, was arrested for Criminal Mischief 4^th and Harassment 2^nd.

Bowen allegedly pushed another person and broke their glasses, during an argument on Summit St. She was arraigned in CAP Court and released.

• On 1/12/2026, Philipp V Smirnov (age 36) of Batavia, was charged with Torturing/Injuring Animals.

Its alleged that Smirnov grabbed a dog by the neck and punched it. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court on 1/20/2026.

• On 1/11/2026, Casey M Fernandez (age 37) of Batavia, was arrested for DWI.

Fernandez was charged following a traffic stop on East Main St. He was issued several traffic tickets and released.

• On 1/14/2026, Cody J Resch (age 28) of Batavia, was arrested for Criminal Contempt 2^nd.

Resch allegedly failed to appear to testify in Grand Jury, after being issued a subpoena. He was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released.

• On 1/15/2026, Stacey L Wall (age 45) of Caledonia, was arrested on a warrant.

The warrant was issued after Wall failed to appear in court, on a misdemeanor traffic charge. She was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released.

• On 1/13/2026, Amos Pagan (age 53) of Batavia, was arrested for Failure to Register.

Pagan allegedly failed to report an address change, within 10 days, as he is required to do as a sex offender. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court on 1/20/2026.
