Police Blotter - Week of 9/11/2022

Arrests

  1. Trespass, 10:01 PM, Sunday, September 4, 2022, Oak St. – On 9/4/2022, Officer Post arrested Matthew R. TAYLOR, M/39 of Batavia, NY, for trespass after he allegedly tried to enter a business which he was banned from. TAYLOR was issued an appearance ticket with a return court date of 9/20/2022 at 1:00 PM.
     
  2. Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th; Unlawful Possession of Personal Identification 3rd; Attempted Petit Larceny; Resisting Arrest, 9:01 AM, Saturday, September 3, 2022, Ellicott St. – On 9/3/2022, Jarrod K. FOTIATHIS, M/27 of LeRoy, NY, and Julie R. RICHARDSON, F/31, of LeRoy NY, were arrested after an investigation into a larceny from a motor vehicle that took place sometime during the night before. It is alleged that FOTIATHIS, and RICHARDSON conspired together to steal the victim’s wallet to purchase items at a local business. When Batavia City Police located FOTIATHIS and RICHARDSON, both resisted arrested by attempting to flee the police on foot, leading into a foot pursuit throughout the City. FOTIATHIS eventually turned himself over to the Police Officer and RICHARDSON was stopped by a local citizen who witnessed the incident. Both FOTIATHIS and RICHARSON were issued appearance tickets and scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on a later date.
     
  3. Burglary 3rd; Petit Larceny; Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, 8:57 AM, Tuesday, September 6, 2022, Washington Ave. – On 9/6/2022, Christian I. ANDRZEJEK, M/26, Homeless, was arrested on the above charges. It’s alleged that ANDRZEJEK unlawfully entered a building and stole items from inside. He was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released under the supervision of Genesee Justice. He is due back in court on 9/28/2022.
     
  4. Obstruction of Governmental Administration; Littering, 3:44 PM, Monday, September 5, 2022, W. Main St. – On 9/5/2022, Officer POST arrested Jeffery T. DUTTON, M/31 of Batavia, NY, for littering and obstructing governmental administration, after he allegedly threw his garbage on city owned property. DUTTON was issued appearance tickets and released with a return court date of 9/20/2022 at 1:00 PM, to the Batavia City Court.
     
  5. Assault 3rd; Burglary 1st; Coercion 1st, 11:40 PM, Monday, September 5, 2022, Ellicott St. – Adam M. KREUTZ, M/33 of Batavia, NY, was arrested by PO FREEMAN as a result of an assault complaint on Ellicott St. KREUTZ allegedly burglarized an apartment and assaulted a man inside the apartment. KREUTZ was arraigned in Batavia City Court by Judge ROGERS, and held without bail.
     
  6. Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, 3:56 PM, Saturday, September 3, 2022, Summit St. – On 9/3/2022, James D. HOOTEN, M/33 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above listed charge. HOOTEN was located by Batavia Police Officers and arrested on warrants out of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office and NYSP Batavia. HOOTEN was found to be in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine. HOOTEN was processed at BPD, issued an appearance ticket returnable to BCC on 9/20/2022 at 1:00 PM, and turned over to the Sheriff’s Office on the outstanding warrants.
     
  7. Trespass, 9:45 PM, Saturday, September 3, 2022, Oak St. – On 9/3/2022, Officer Post arrested Mathew R. TAYLOR, M/39 of Batavia, NY, for trespass after he remained unlawfully in a local business he was previously banned from. TAYLOR was issued an appearance ticket with a return court date of 9/20/2022 at 1:00 PM to the Batavia City Court.
      
  8. Bench Warrant, 1:48 PM, Friday, March 4, 2022, E. Main St. – On 9/4/2022, Officer POST arrested Jolene Y. STEVENS, F/33, Homeless on an active Bench Warrant for resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, and harassment. Per Judge ROGERS, STEVENS was issued an appearance ticket and released with a return court date of 9/8/2022 at 1:30 PM.
     
  9. Harassment 2nd, 4:18 PM, Saturday, August 28, 2022, E. Main St. – On 9/4/2022, David M. CAMELIO M/40 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above listed charge. CAMELIO allegedly, engaged in a physical altercation where he struck another male in the face. CAMELIO was processed, issued an appearance ticket returnable to BCC on 9/20/2022 at 1:00 PM and released.
     
  10. Trespass, 4:49 PM, Sunday, September 4, 2022, W. Main St. – On 9/4/2022, Officer POST arrested Mathew R. TAYLOR, M/39 of Batavia, NY, for trespassing after he allegedly entered a business which he was previously banned from. TAYLOR was issued an appearance ticket and released with a return court date of 9/20/2022 at 1:00 PM to the Batavia City Court.
     
  11. Driving While Intoxicated; DWI: BAC >.08%; DWI: Consume Alcohol under 21 YOA, 1:07 AM, Monday, September 5, 2022, E. Main St. – Colin A. MCCULLEY, M/18 of LeRoy, NY, was arrested by PO FREEMAN as a result of a complaint of people acting disorderly and urinating at McDonald’s. MCCULLEY was arrested for DWI after allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol. MCCULLEY was issued appearance tickets, and is due to appear in BCC on 9/14/2022.
