Arrests

1. Injuring an Animal (2 counts), 1:00 PM, Sunday, May 15, 2022, River St. – Cassandra L. ELMORE, F/30 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on 7/2/2022 for 2 counts of injuring an animal. It is alleged on 5/15/2022 and 5/25/2022, ELMORE brought a pet French Bull Dog into a veterinarian to be treated for overdosing on cocaine. ELMORE was issued an appearance ticket and is due back in Batavia City Court on 7/26/2022 at 1:00 PM.
    
2. Injuring an Animal; Owning an Unlicensed Dog, 9:00 AM, Monday, June 20, 2022, River St. – Cassandra L. ELMORE, F/30 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on 7/2/2022 for injuring an animal and owning an unlicensed dog. It is alleged that on 6/21/2022, ELMORE brought her pet French Bull Dog to a local veterinarian due to the dog having what is believed to be an overdose after it got into some sort of narcotic. It is also alleged that ELMORE never licensed her pet dog with the City of Batavia. ELMORE was issued an appearance ticket and is due back in Batavia City Court on 7/26/2022 at 1:00 PM.
    
3. Petit Larceny, 1:04 PM, Tuesday, June 28, 2022, Ellicott St. – Kelly L. FOSSUM, F/60, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on 6/28/2022 for petit larceny. It is alleged that FOSSUM stole numerous packages of meat from a local grocery store and walked past all points of sale. FOSSUM was issued an appearance ticket and is due back in Batavia City Court on 7/12/2022 at 1:00 PM.
    
4. Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7^th, 6:28 PM, Friday, June 3, 2022, E. Main St. – Arthur L. GOLDEN, M/64 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on July 2nd after an incident on June 3rd where he was allegedly found to be in possession of a crack pipe. An analysis of the pipe confirmed the presence of cocaine residue. GOLDEN was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in BCC at a later date.
    
5. Harassment 2^nd, 8:13 PM, Tuesday, June 28, 2022, E. Main St. – Sharon A. WILLIAMS, F/54 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on July 3rd, 2022 as a result of an incident that occurred on June 28th, 2022, where WILLIAMS allegedly harassed someone during an altercation. WILLIAMS was issued an appearance ticket to reappear in BCC on 7/12/2022 at 1:00 PM.
    
6. Bench Warrant, 9:58 AM, Tuesday, March 1, 2022, Jackson St. – On 7/3/2022, Officer POST arrested James D. HOOTEN, M/33 of Batavia, NY, on an active warrant for conspiracy in the 6th degree and petit larceny. HOOTEN was arraigned in front of Judge BURNS who released HOOTEN under the supervision of Genesee Justice. HOOTEN is scheduled to return to BCC on 7/14/2022 at 1:30 PM.
